Installing the RhinoParametrics plug-in

 

Windows Installer

 


Download the RhinoParametrics installation file :

RhinoParametricsInstaller_xxx.msi  or  RhinoParametricsInstaller_xxx.exe


Run it (double click it in Window Explorer) to begin the installation process.


 



After the licence has been accepted and hence the installation completed, Rhino can be launched directly by checking the box in the bottom left corner of the dialog.


 



The installer will have created a folder, which will be either :
C:\Program Files\RhinoParametrics
or
C:\Program Files (x86)\RhinoParametrics

All necessary files have been placed in this directory.


The documentation is found in the directory : RhinoParametrics_Doc

 

 

First Rhinoceros run after installation of RhinoParametrics

 

The first time that Rhino is launched after having installed RhinoParametrics, the following dialog box will appear, indicating that the plug-in is being loaded.


 



Once RhinoParametrics has been loaded, its user interface will become avaialble, including:
- The treeview
- The "RhinoParametrics" menu
- The Tool Bar


 




RhinoParametric commands can now be used, concurrently with Rhino commands.

 

 

Manual Installation


In rare cases, when Rhino is first run after installing RhinoParametrics, the plug-in will not be loaded automatically (the dialog box will not appear).

In this case,the plug-in must be loaded manually.

To do so, open the Rhino Options dialog, and go to Rhino Options, Modules :


 


Click "Install".

When asked, browse to the plug-in location.  The default locations will be one of the following :

C:\Program Files\RhinoParametrics\RhinoParametrics.rhp

or
C:\Program Files (x86)\RhinoParametrics\RhinoParametrics.rhp


Rhinoceros will load the plug-in.

RhinoParametric commands can now be used, concurrently with Rhino commands.


Installation of a license file

During the purchase of a RhinoParametrics license file ( *.license ) is supplied to you.

It is enough to copy it in the plug - in installation directory:


 

C:\Program Files\RhinoParametrics
or
C:\Program Files (x86)\RhinoParametrics


It must have there only a single license file in this directory.
Then the plug - in becomes a complete version.
