Uses of non parametrics objects

Lean on an non parametric object

We saw, during a previous page, that it's possible to incorporate into the treeview non parametrics objects with the "Link" tool.

But it is necessary to know that it is possible to modify geometries of these "Link" tool and objects which leaned will be also modified.

Here is an example video showing:
The creation of speaker:
- Creation of two non parametrics hyperbolas
- Activation of the plugin by showing the treeview
- Creation of "Link" with this 2 hyperbolas
- Modelling other objects leaning on the "Link"

When the modelisation is finished, it's possible to modify the hyperbolas:
- Deactivation of the plug-in by masking the treeview
- Modification of hyperbolas with geometrical transformations.

Build an object interpreted by the plug-in with parametric objects reference

For multiple reasons, certain features of Rhino are not implemented in the RhinoParametrics plug-in.
(Most of the time we don't have computing methods allowing us to realize these operations, "surface by network of curves", "hyperbola", "Fillet of surfaces").

On the other hand it's possible to use them in your project.

Method to be followed:
1-Creation with the plug-in active, objects allowing the construction of said object
2-Desactivate the plug-in by closing the treeview
3-Activate the recording of the Rhino history
4-Create your non parametric object
5-Activate the plugin by showing the treeview
6-Modify one of the reference objects of your non parametric object

With the history recording, it is possible to use almost all features of Rhino.

Here is a video demonstrating the principle:
- Fillet of surfaces
- Surface by network of curves
